Make a bequest to Yetzirah: A Hearth for Jewish Poetry

The Hebrew word for “roots,” shorashim (שורשים) emphasizes The Yetzirah Shorashim Society’s essential role in ensuring Yetzirah’s vitality, now and for generations to come. Composed of generous and forward-thinking donors, the society will secure our long-term success through their bequests. Members who have included Yetzirah in their estate plans–with gifts large and small, but all deeply meaningful–will be acknowledged and thanked on our website, unless they prefer to remain anonymous.

It’s easy to create a bequest with creative and flexible giving options that can benefit both you and Yetzirah. You can learn more about a variety of planned giving opportunities here. Whether it is naming Yetzirah as the beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy, or gifting other liquid or non-liquid assets, we encourage you to consult with your financial advisor or attorney to discuss the options. Please also feel free to reach out to Cindy Savett, Yetzirah’s Head of Philanthropy.

In return, we make these promises to you:

  • Yetizrah is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and continuing to be worthy of your legacy support.
  • We will respect your privacy.
  • We will respect your right to change your plans.

If you are looking for bequest language, we recommend the following:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Yetzirah: A Hearth for Jewish Poetry, the sum of $________ (or property described) for its general purposes. Their tax identification number is 88-1187809.”
