What is the relationship between Judaism and/or Jewish culture and your poetry?

Though I’m not a religious man by any definition, I am a Jew and am acutely aware of the impact of my Jewishness on me, on the ways I think, behave, and write. I have written many poems that appear on Ritualwell, which curates poems and rituals about and in support of the Jewish experience. In addition, several of my poems have been used as part of services in my own synagogue and other synagogues around the country.
