What is the relationship between Judaism and/or Jewish culture and your poetry?
My Judaism has occupied my mind and thus my visual art and my writing more than any other subject. Not one to entirely rely on new technology, I will allow myself to quote AI on the subject of Judaism in my work: \\\”Judith R. Robinson, poet and painter, has expressed a deep-seated connection to her Jewish identity, describing it as an inseparable part of her worldview. \\\”AI then quotes me directly: \\\”I am a Jewish poet and painter,\\\” noting that it is \\\”my sensibility,\\\” and \\\”who I am and what I care about.\\\” AI goes on to note that I describe myself as a \\\”Zionist, who does not shy away from expressing political views;\\\” and that I possess a \\\”proud heritage.\\\” There are many more references such as my Jewishness as a \\\”well of emotion,\\\” that fuels my work; as well as specific tributes to my \\\”precious elders, Holocaust survivors, victims of the Tree of Life Massacre, and specific Jewish individuals. I invite you to my website, www.judithrrobinson.com for poems, columns and essays for the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle and The Times of Israel for more material.
