Biography
Rachel Abramowitz is the author of The Birthday of the Dead, winner of the 2021 Marystina Santiestevan prize from Conduit Books, the chapbooks Flea with Martyrdom, winner of the 2023 Baltic Writing Residency Chapbook Contest (Action, Spectacle) The Puzzle Monster, winner of the 2021 Tomaž Šalamun prize (Factory Hollow Press), and Gut Lust, winner of the 2019 Burnside Review prize (Burnside Review Press, 2020). She is a graduate of the Iowa Writers\\\’ Workshop and the University of Oxford, and has taught English Literature at Barnard College in New York.
