Biography

Susan Rich is an award-winning poet, editor and essayist. She is the author of five poetry collections: Gallery of Postcards and Maps: New and Selected Poems (Salmon Poetry) as well as Cloud PharmacyThe Alchemist’s KitchenCures Include Travel and The Cartographer’s Tongue /Poems of the World (White Pine Press)Her poetry has received awards from PEN USA, the Times Literary Supplement (London), Fulbright Foundation, and several other organizations; her work has been published in the Alaska Quarterly Review, Antioch Review, Harvard Review, New England Review, Oprah Magazine, and World Literature Today. Rich’s sixth collection of poems, Blue Atlas, was published by Red Hen Press in 2024. Originally from Brookline, Massachusetts, she makes her home in Seattle, WA on the shores of the Puget Sound.
